Currently, Roger is proprietor of a health food shop which specialises in advice based upon herbal principles.  The local reputation of the shop is high and based upon over five years trading.

Roger has engineering qualifications (Eur Ing, C Eng, MIM, Member ASME, BSc Metallurgy) and many years experience covering projects in Oil, Aerospace, Power plant, Computer software and Printing and Publishing, at all levels up to and including Managing Director.

Large information based projects have included management systems for fifteen large oil related companies in Saudi Arabia, welding control and analysis for construction of large power plant, engineering data bases for European Space Agency, Operational manuals for North Sea Oil Platforms,   These projects enabled Roger to identify the requirements for efficient large multi-discipline knowledge bases.  They require significant computing power and the software tools to utilise it.   Now adequate computer power is available at modest cost and new software techniques, developed by Roger, enable a project with the scope of the Herbal Repository to be accomplished.
